PURPOSE AND GOVERNANCE

FCEM, the World Association of Female Entrepreneurs brings together women entrepreneurs from all professions and all continents.

Our association is the largest global social and business network among women entrepreneurs and aims to create unique values for all members.

In this respect, to establish a similar identity concerning “Honest, Responsible, Legal and Moral” conduct and, to guarantee exemplary success in our associative and professional life, FCEM is subject to this ETHICS CHARTER which is based on the practice of good conduct to be held in the various situations of our working and associative life: to respect rules; to establish working methods; to avoid conflicts and above all to ensure the reliability and credibility of our association.
Being part of FCEM means respecting the cultural and ethical values of all member countries.

PRINCIPLES

  • To act in accordance with the rules of the FCEM Ethics Charter, the European Human Rights Convention, Personal Data Protection Lawand all binding compulsory Laws.
  • To promote transparency, integrity and personal reliability of our members.
  • To protect the reputation of all FCEM national member associations by respecting the ethical and professional rules of this charter.
  • To work in compliance with the law and FCEM rules (No Corruption, No Conflict of Interests, Confidentiality, Voluntariness).
  • To ensure the confidentiality of the personal data of all FCEM member associations and of the members of the FCEM member associations, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
  • To respect all kind of diversity of all members of the national FCEM member associations.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION

Acts against the reputation of a member association and its member entrepreneur is not allowed. Such acts must be stopped immediately, by calling a private meeting between the perpetrator and the opposing parties, to clarify the underlining facts of the dispute and try to solve the dispute in absolute discretion. The meeting can be conducted digitally. If the private meeting is not successful, the assistance of the National President will be sought. The involved parties must exchange with the National President the underlining facts of the dispute immediately upon request of the National President. If an amicable solution cannot be found, the National President can decide on appropriate measures to solve the dispute in consultation with the person in charge of “World Ethics”.

Corruption is combatted and all acts which contravene the principles of our Code of Ethics are condemned.
All conflicts of interest must be avoided.

Personal conflicts of interest must not undermine or damage the reputation of FCEM. In the event of a conflict of interest, the President of the concerned national member association in the respective country of shall be contacted immediately to resolve the matter. If the matter is not resolved successfully within a reasonable time, the concerned national association shall discuss the matter with the World President in order to find an appropriate solution. The person in charge of “World Ethics” can intervene in a serious project to expel a national member association. In all disputes the person in charge of “World Ethics” can intervene as a mediator, if the dispute is not resolved by the office of the national member association in the country concerned.
It is essential that all FCEM members share the values on which our association is founded. We must ensure that every member can make a contribution and encourage those who stand for positions of responsibility, provided they meet the requirements set out in our by-laws and articles of association.
