The Award categories

“Lifetime Achievements” (The Global Player)
The recipient will have owned her business for at least ten years and will be actively involved in the running of her company. Her success has provided a beacon for others to follow. She must also be a ‘Woman doing business worldwide.’ This award is a salute to Woman Entrepreneurs

Most Original New Business (Successful Small – Business)
The recipient will have been in business for at least three years, but less than five. Her venture provides a product or service, or marketing strategy that is innovative and supported by a solid plan for growth, which has increased sales by developing global markets for its products and services.

Selection Process


  Each National President will select the leading candidates in each of the above categories. The nomination forms of each national finalist will then be submitted to the F.C.E.M World president, who will, together with an independent judging committee, select potential award recipients. 

  The award nominations are presented at the Gala Dinner at the F.C.E.M World Congress.

General Rules


  Nominations may be made from manufacturing, trade or services. Franchisers, but not franchisees are eligible.

  The individual must demonstrate that she is the owner, partner, or major shareholder and that her primary income flows from the business.

  All nominees must have been in business for at least 3 years. The nominees must have their own risk capital in the business.

  Any one may submit an application and self-nominations are encouraged.

  Nominees may only apply for one award category.

  The committee retains the option, with permission of the nominee, to suggest a category more appropriate than that submitted.

  A National finalist will be required to submit, two professional black and white, non-returnable business photographs for promotional purposes.

Criteria

  Candidate dossier to contain no more than 5 pages covering the following points: 

   The Company
   Background or principals, why business was established, legal structure, management responsibilities, current and projected organisation structure, number of employees.

Products/Services 
    Describe what you sell.

Marketing Objectives
Size of target market, growth potential and trends, analysis of competition and where you see your niche. Strategic advantage, now and in the future.

Growth Strategies
List sales projection for the next three years. What are the barriers to success and how do you plan to overcome them?

Financial Plan
How have you financed your business in the pat, including start-up capital? How is your current situation and what plans have you put in-situ for future financial growth?

Quality Plus
Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain excellence in every aspect of the company’s offering to its customers, employees, community and environment.

Information required


  Nominees for this award programme will provide specific information to encompass all of the above headings. A maximum of a 5-page submission, supplemented by a reasonable selection of the company’s literature, media clippings and other pertinent data, should be submitted. Material will not be returned but will be exhibited at the F.C.E.M World Congress. Your response should explain why your business is qualified for the award for which you are applying. Incomplete forms, or forms containing false and misleading information will be automatically disqualified.

  A 3-minute video of you and your company should accompany your application.


  Nota: FCEM Members who want to participate to the competiton should submit their registration form during the World Committee that precede the next  FCEM World Congress.
