Excerpts of  letter received from The Presidentof the   United Nations General Assembly   14 May 2004 Dear Ms. Khaiat, I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 6 May 2004 and to express my sincere appreciation for bringing to my attention the celebration by your Organization “Les Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM)” of FCEM Day for the fourth consecutive yard. In the General Assembly, the subject of women and related issues, including development, has featured prominently on the agenda of numerous regular sessions of the General Assembly and was the main focus at its twenty-third special session. At the current 58th regular session, the Assembly continues to emphasize the promotion of gender equality and women’s empowerment, as reflected in its resolution 58/149 of 22 December 2004, and a number of other resolutions on the rights and protection of women… …Again, I wish to thank you for sharing with me FCEM’s efforts and contributions towards the advancement of women, a common goal both of our organizations aim to achieve.
